Situation:
Union Investment is an attractive employer in the financial services sector, enabling its employees to achieve solutions that the market understands with the highest professional aspirations in collaborative togetherness. Since 2008, Union Investment has been using the BeeSite Recruiting Edition; since 2014 in the now third generation and since 2015 also with a mobile job fair. In 2016, the demand arose to revisit the career website from both an editorial and a technological approach. Earlier, a more contemporary Employer Value Proposition was created – based on the three values of humanity, aspiration and the resulting strength.Task:
The editorial goals of the re-launch were to make the company culture easier to experience, to present Union Investment as a modern employer and to more clearly define the employer profile, resulting in an overall increase in applicant quality. From a technological approach, the career website needed to be optimised for mobile devices, the new online CD needed to be implemented, a better search engine optimisation had to be achieved and a web-tracking function to measure success had to be implemented with the re-launch.Solution:
Reduce distance. Decrease complexity. The language in simple and (inter-)human pictures already used on the website for private customers was moved to the career website, too. Thereby, complex issues are explained in a more simple fashion – both textually and visually. “People have questions. Professionals have answers” is the core of the creative main idea oriented on the existing EVP. Because: Having questions is human. Providing answers is too. A professional is someone who does not avoid any question, and who can provide a relevant answer – especially in all matters career.
