Years of moving – once across the city
After getting our start in Hamburg, we immediately occupied a joint office in 1998 on the ground floor of a slaughterhouse (1 in the Karolinen Quarter. There, Michael Palmen already had a joint office with two designer friends of his along with a copywriter. We were right on the Schanze with a great view of the Millerntor; it was an ideal location for launching our business.Unfortunately, it got small in a hurry; with four employees, the office started to feel pretty crowded. It turned out that an office we were friends with on that floor had moved into a newly established media floor and soon after that we also moved into a larger office in the tin factory (2) (Stresemannstraße) in order to be able to continue to grow.We did continue growing and in 2001, we moved into our first truly big office on Steckelhörn. 500 m2, directly opposite Speicherstadt (3), and of that, 200 m2 sublet to friendly freelancers. Lesson learned. More Hamburg was not working. This time we wanted to stay longer.
where we were once again located on the Elbe. The new office is located directly across from Gruner Jahr in the Portuguese Quarter (5). Our new location was a small, wonderful, but somewhat dark office in Brauerknechtgraben. It was centrally located with everything that you need at lunch time – including a park where we could take a break. We’ve been in our current location at Eimsbütteler Chaussee 23 since 2007, Right behind the Schanze (6) and not all that distant from our first office where we were located in 1998. Here we have beautiful, open and bright rooms, varied offerings for lunch and we are centrally and conveniently located in one of Hamburg’s trendy neighbourhoods.
