Top recruiting, despite the crisis? We asked whether it was possible, and delivered a few answers as well.
On November 25th & 26th, we launched the 7th edition of HR FusionDays . The expert talk was held digitally due to current circumstances, and addressed recruiting, AI & applicant management systems. We addressed the crisis as an opportunity for innovation and technology, looked at encouraging signs and provided practical tips for recruiting and candidate management.
Practical tips for experts. From experts.HR Fusion Days 2020 was certainly a unique event – not only thanks to its agenda, but to its format as well. In past years, participants generally met over two days. This year, the conference switched to a digital format.
Nevertheless, everyone has had enough of virtual conferences and video meetings from our home offices. Instead, in true milch & zucker style, we looked for the best solution available in the situation. This involved turning the cafeteria at our Gießen location into a broadcasting studio for two days.
This provided space for interactive keynote speeches and case studies, short expert panels and a barista corner for discussing everything we had learned over an espresso.
This time, of course, everything was 100% digital, but still 100% milch & zucker.Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel started off with the first speaker slot for the two-day event. The former chair of the Hessen SPD and current board member of the staatlichen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) spoke about how Covid-19 is worsening existing problems in our society and economy. However, he also used examples from the GIZ to show how the crisis can stimulate innovation and digitization.
Dr. Olena Linnyk and Ingolf Teetz showed how every word counts in a job advertisement, and provided insights into milch & zucker’s real intelligence behind the AI. A presentation from Roger Hermesdorf, who joined us live from Lübeck, addressed the best process to apply within a candidate management system. In over 15 years at Dräger, he has conducted the international launches of three different recruitment systems and adapted these to the needs of HR. He delivered valuable tips for saving process time and costs with the right candidate management system
The event was concluded by Malika Menezes, staff recruitment expert at Elbkinder. She provided insight into the advantages of more targeted, personal candidate contacts through specialized team websites, driven by InstantPage with BeeSite technology.
